About the Business
As a result of the great fire in 1507 many of the buildings in this, one of the oldest most picturesque streets in Norwich are genuine Tudor houses. There are, in fact, more Tudor houses in Elm Hill than there are in the whole of the City of London. Elm Hill is one of the prettiest streets of Norwich, with many small independent traders, and known for its Medieval cobbled street. You can view wonderful Tudor timber work, C17th dormer windows, and Georgian facades.
Norwich was the largest walled Medieval city in England, it was twice the size of the city of London. It has the largest collection of Medieval churches of any city in Northern Europe and the biggest provincial regalia collection.
