Writer and Master Craftsman Alex Askaroff has spent a lifetime in the sewing industry and is considered one of the foremost experts of pioneering machines and their inventors. Alex has written extensively for trade magazines, radio, television, books and publications worldwide.

I must add a little note to thank all the hundreds of people, who, over the last two decades, have helped build this educational site with their information, pictures, documents and photos.
