About the Business
We both began collecting as children and although we grew up on different continents, we shared a love of jewellery, gemstones and "the quirky". We met in Botswana where we began collecting together. Inevitably our home began to burst at the seams with our treasures, some of which we were happy to part with and let others enjoy. An antiques shop was born!
Alan has over 30 years experience in the diamond, coloured stones, jewellery and valuating business. He was the co-owner of a leading diamond laboratory based in South Africa, grading diamonds and coloured stones to the G.I.A. system. Alan is an accredited jewellery valuator of the South African Jewellery Valuators Guild and a fine and accomplished cutter of coloured stones.
He designs beautiful exclusive jewellery for clients world wide. No wonder that with all that talent and knowledge, our emphasis is on jewellery, although you will find many other things on this site that reflect our love of everything good as well as our individual interests.
Sue qualified and practised as a solicitor for many years in the UK before moving to Botswana where she continued to practise as a solicitor before opening her own consultancy business specialising in labour relations. She had the very great honour of being the first female judge in Botswana when she was twice appointed on a short-term basis to the Industrial Court bench.
We believe that you should look at every piece on its merit and that quality is not just about the age of the piece or the name of the designer/manufacturer. We also believe that collecting is about buying what you like and having the confidence to go with your instinct and mix styles and periods. Most importantly it is about having fun and enjoying your purchases.

Payments & Shipping Information
Payments:
You can pay by debit or credit card using WorldPay or by PayPal. We do not accept American Express or Diners Card. We can also accept payment by bank transfer but you will need to contact us to make the appropriate arrangements.
Shipping:
We ship world-wide and arrange packing and transport by professional shipping companies or where appropriate by insured signed for mail. We will not however ship to Italy. All prices quoted on our website do not include shipping. Please ask for shipping quotes for individual items. We will discuss the delivery options and costs with you over the phone or by email at the time of your purchase. Your order will be shipped within seven working days of receipt of cleared funds.
Privacy Policy:
Contact information including email address, telephone number, address, etc. which are provided by the user will only be used solely for the purpose of completing the order. This includes information pertaining to gift recipients. Financial information including credit card numbers, expiration dates, billing address is used solely to bill the customer for their order.
