About the Business
We can help with moving and setting up your longcase clock. We travel up and down the A1M between Stamford and Central London each week.
Around Stamford, we collect and deliver clock repair across Peterborough, Bourne, Grantham, Rutland including Oakham and Uppingham. We cover North East Cambridgeshire including Cambridge, Huntingdon, St Neots, St Ives and Huntingdon.
Stamford is a stunning market town, the half way point between London and York. Our clock repair workshops there take up four floors of the former gaoler’s house, built in 1558. Our Archway colleagues are open for collection and delivery for clock repair and restoration between Mon-Fri. Clocks are normally taken back to Stamford for any work required.
We can help with care of antique longcase clocks (or grandfather clocks), bracket clocks, carriage clocks, striking and repeating carriage clocks, French mantle clocks, single, double and tripple fusee clocks, and of course, lantern clocks.
We are on the same side of the road (the old “Great North Road”) and just over the bridge from one of Englands great coaching inns: The George Hotelwhich dates back around a thousand years. It’s comfortable rooms and restaurants are soothed by a number of fine antique clocks.

Antique Clock Repair and Clock Restoration
Fellow of the british horological institute.
We have the expertise and the experience to repair nearly every possible kind of domestic antique clock, from carriage clocks to the largest longcase clocks, from simple thirty hours to complex musical clocks or carriage clocks. We are used to restoring missing parts (moon-drives, calendars, hands etc…), having restored many thousands of antique clocks over the years. We undertake furniture and clock case restoration, according to the work required.
We have a flexible attitude to clock restoration standards. Some customers are truly looking for “restoration” in the traditional sense of the word, and expect clocks to gleam as though they were made last week. Others may seek a far more sensitive approach. We care for customers’ clocks. Each is fully insured and kept in exceptionally secure premises. We always welcome visitors to our main clock workshops in Stamford, Lincolnshire.
Stamford is a small and very pretty market town exactly half way between London and Harrogate on the A1. The town defies superlatives in term of appearance and historical interest; It was the first ever listed Conservation Area in England, and is a thriving, bustling Georgian market town. We work in the former town gaol, built in the 1580s.
We are open Monday to Friday, 9.00 to 5.00 excepting bank holidays. Saturdays 10.00 to 4.00.
