About the Business
Merchant House Antiques (MHA) is ideally located within the historic market town of Honiton in Devon, the Antiques capital of the South West of England. It was established in 1995 by Christian Giltsoff after many successful years trading in the family antiques business in nearby Budleigh Salterton. Christian is proud to be the fourth generation in his family to deal in high quality Antiques and Fine Art. MHA is renowned for its customer service, knowledge & expertise in the Antiques trade. Christian makes regular buying trips to France, which is an excellent source of farmhouse tables, commodes, gilt mirrors, dining chairs, wardrobes and decorative antiques. Another highly respected member of the team is Ian Wilford who adds his 30+ years knowledge of antiques to help provide an extensive selection of locally sourced goods; this makes the shop very interesting and an exciting place to visit time after time: as many of our clients have commented "the stock is constantly changing".
