About the Business
Memory Lane was established in 2008 by Terry and Julia Brown. They had always wanted to open an antiques shop and Southwell seemed an ideal place so they decided to turn their passion for all things old into a business.
The shop is full of interesting antiques and artefacts, appealing to the tourist market and the discerning local antiques buff. In an age where the need to recycle is increasingly prominent, selling antiques seems to be the ultimate in re-using unwanted items and it is in this mindset that makes any antiques shop worth a visit.
As trends and fashions change it is easy to clear a room and throw away items that have given years of service, however retro furniture is becoming increasingly popular alongside the traditional chaise longue and dinner service. Terry and Julia are very interested in all antiques from Georgian to the classics of the 1970's such as G-Plan, Parker Knoll and Nathan products.
