About the Business
Ian and Joyce Brown established the company some 30 years ago specialising in English country antique chairs. The company soon grew to include a workshop to produce the bespoke items that were increasingly being commissioned. Today I & JL Brown is a family business recognised around the world not only for our unparalleled collection of English and French country furniture but for the skill of our craftsmen and the quality and variety of furniture that we make. Antiques remain an important part of our heritage and we continue to hand pick interesting and unusual examples from the UK and Europe to complement our London and Hereford showrooms.
Our furniture is built and finished by hand in our own Herefordshire workshops. We use only the finest, hand selected timbers which can then be stained, painted and distressed to your own specifications. Our trained and knowledgeable team can help you with all the design options that we offer.
