About the Business
Being a family of specialist antique dealers, David and John Hansord have over 50 years of experience which is reflected in our extensive showrooms set in a fine Georgian house in the heart of the historic Cathedral city of Lincoln. 6 & 7 Castle Hill is a fine grade 2 listed 18th century townhouse with classical facade and an almost completely panelled interior. From early oak and walnut to more formal Georgian furniture, the rooms lend themselves to show a carefully chosen stock of both english and continental items.
We also carry an interesting stock of works of art, clocks, scientific instruments and have a collection of colonial furniture and cabinets. The gentleman collector or as known on the continent "Kunstkammer" is a good way to describe this area of our stock. In 2001 we were honoured to be named as the best antique shop outside of London in the British Antiques and Collectables Awards.
