About the Business
Cellar clock and antiques is a limited company started in 2007 which was working along side a company call shipwreck antiques centre. Shipwreck antiques centre that had been running for over 30 years with survival unit holders selling a range of different items (books, postcards, jewellery, glass, china ect.). Back in 2008 Cellar Clocks and Antiques took over shipwreck and became a soul trader instead of a centre for several unit holders. One of the directors of Cellar Clocks and Antiques has got 30 years of experience in horology and clock making. In February 2008 shipwreck was closed down. Cellar Clocks and Antiques decided to turn the old building which is over 200 years old into a fantastic showroom. The building used to be used as a picking yard for sprats that used to be sent to Russia via Brightlingsea, Colchester and Harwich. In February/March 2008 we completely emptied the shop and started to dismantle the units and shelf's that had been put into place for the unit holders.
